Rich 2016

I became a physiotherapist in 2002 after attended Cardiff university.   Since I have developed an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pain and injuries.

More recently I qualified as an independent prescriber back in 2015 and have a post graduate certificate in musculoskeletal (MSK) sonography from 2016.   I now spend much of my time performing diagnostic ultrasound scans and guided injections in secondary care.   I have also set up 3 first contact physiotherapy services in primary care which has been proven to improve MSK patient care in primary care and reduce the workload on GPs.

After moving to the Exeter area 4 years ago I began a PhD at The University of Exeter. My research is on the mechanism of action of hyaluronan therapy and the diagnosis of arthritis using ultrasound.

In my spare time I love travelling, park running and fair weather sailing!
